How to cut fabric in Dressmaker
I can describe the cutting room from the patch notes and the play summary. I cannot give you a fresh key-by-key script, because nobody published one.
Steps
Lay the pieces
Place pattern pieces on the cloth before you cut. Grain and bias change the look and how much cloth you waste.
Check the hover hint
Build 410 says inventory hover shows where a piece will sit on the dress form.
Mind the wheel
The same build stopped the scroll wheel from rotating a piece while the pointer is over inventory.
Leave the table if you are stuck
If you cannot enter the cutting area at all, use the fabric-table page instead of forcing this happy path.
The studio clip from 25 September 2026 is titled as a way to see where a pattern piece lands on the form. The description was empty, so the title is the claim. If the room will not let you in, go to locked into the fabric table.
